When cardiac care is needed, your Primary Care Physician will refer you to a cardiologist who is highly skilled at diagnosing and treating disorders of the heart and blood vessels, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valve disease.

Uganda Heart Institute is gradually upgrading with high level equipments to meet the demands and the needs of cardiovascular Medicine.

Our cardiologists are certified experts who use Modern technologies although with some limitations due to resource constraints. Various Cardiac tests are used such as supine resting and stress ECG, Echo, Cardiac Enzymes, and Angiography etc to manage heart diseases.

Preventing and Recovering From Heart Disease

The cardiologist partners with your PCP to maintain and restore all aspects of your heart healthy. Their approach includes counseling about preventive care. If cardiac intervention is requested by your PCP, a heart surgeon may be involved to ensure you receive the care you need.

Your treating Physician may refer you to Kalson Medical for follow-up if its necessary to ensure continuity of health care and that you don’t miss an appointment due to health care access.
